Having a Charlie Dimmock day....

  Surprisingly, after my mad girls night out, I woke up feeling fine!!  Being such a beautiful day, hubs and I headed to the Garden Centre.  Yes, we have reached that age!! Who would of thought it,,,,,,
I bought a load of plants in Purple, white & yellow.  A big pot for my Raspberry canes and some compost.

 We came home and my hubs cut the grass and I had a great time planting, weeding and pottering for about 3 hours in the sun!  I really enjoy this time of year when you can start adding colour back into you life.  Nothing better than sitting in the garden after a days work,, chilled glass of vino and hopefully hubby doing a BBQ!!   I had a great time today,, a massive clear up and I also found little candle holders and have scattered them around for those perfect summer evenings!

Girl's Night!!

I had my Girls Night Out last night and it was the best!!!

I got 4 of my very best friends together.  Only 2 had met before.  1 nearly bottled out with nerves, but she came and had a great time!
All the girls got on with each other and want to do it again sometime.  I am so glad I sorted this date out and we all went.
We laughed sooooo much and maybe a little too loudly in the Restaurant that we were asked to turn the noise level down.  We decided we didn't like or want to do this,,,,, so we left and headed to a pub to finish the evening of!
Had a great time with my great friends!!

Birthday.......

  It was my birthday yesterday, the sun shone so bright as an extra gift!!
  
I had an amazing day full of laughs with my very good friend.  We went to Sidmouth and plodded about shopping and enjoying the sun.  We went onto another Coastal Village and had a lovely lunch, followed by a little walk to a bench set up high on a hill and sat luaghing together in the sun.

  I had some beautiful and thoughtful gifts and sooo many cards!!!

Mumma's Day

  Today I got a gift of a cuppa in bed from my Hubby,,,something he does every morning!  But today I got the added gifts and card from my girl!!
   
         So thoughtful with some of my favourite things in Happy Yellow!!

  I am truely blessed to have the relationship I have with my daughter.  We are so close, get on really well and laugh LOTS!!!

   It's a different relationship than the one I have with my Mum.  My mum can be a bit controlling,,never wrong and a bit 'bitey' with me at times.  I don't have the laughs with her that I have with my girl,,,and I miss that.  I wish I could sit with my Mum and laugh until we cry,,,,go have lunch,, go shop,,,,and I wish she would do things with me,,,like ring up and say,,,'fancy lunch?'.
  I am the one who goes to see her,,,,I cannot remember the last time she nipped in for a cuppa and chat .  I am a beauty therapist and I booked her in for massages to help her back as it plays her up.  I use this time as a bit of a catch up.  It's sad that thats the only time we seem to connect.  I have tried really hard over the years, but have now learned to accept that this is just the way she is.  I have no doubt she loves me.  It's just her generation never seem to show it.. I am a very huggy person and she is not.  I wasn't brought up to be huggy,, it's just who I have become.  I am always hugging my girl when we're together.
  I missed her today and thought of her alot.  She's one special daughter.  xx

Isn't it funny how a group of women can be?

  I rent a room within a hairdressers.  I love my little room and I love my job.  I quietly work away though my day with my lovely clients.
  The hairdressers upstairs have a team of 4 stylist with 2 saturday girls. 
  I find it interesting to watch and listen how they all interact with each other.....They can all be friends,, they can be connecting with each other,, they can be snappy with each other, they can get irritated and fed up with each other.  Funny thing is,, they all come to me to talk about each other!! It's a weird thing because I am not around them that often, I tend to get left out of alot of things.  It used to get to me a bit.  Now I ignore it and I have to say, am glad that it has become that way.  It's all a bit noisy, a bit full on and a nit false at times and I would rather keep out of it. Does make me giggle though..
